The BMW X6 recently became the darkest vehicle ever built. BMW recently coated a BMW X6 SAV in Vantablack VBx2, creating the one and only BMW VBX6 SAV. The X6 is the only vehicle ever painted with Vantablack.

What is Vantablack?

Vantablack isn't a paint pigment, it's a technology. Made up of carbon nanotubes, Vantablack coating absorbs nearly 100% of light, causing objects coated with it to appear flat and two-dimensional. This results in the silhouette like look of the BMW X6's 3D shape, and why you can only clearly see uncoated components like the grille, windows, wheels, and headlamps.

When Can I Buy One?

Unfortunately, since Vantablack is so advanced, it's exceptionally expensive to produce, apply, and maintain, and the BMW VB X6 is destined to be a one of a kind vehicle. The good news is you can still pick up the standard BMW X6 from the selection of new BMW Cars and SAVs at your East Bay BMW dealership.
