Exterior Design
Contributing to the exceptional performance of the BMW 5 Series are standard 19-inch wheels, and larger 21-inch wheels add a more dramatic look. An Illuminated Kidney Grille is available for an even sharper exterior. The adaptive LED headlights get a new design, as does the grille. The rear is highlighted by freeform exhaust tips and 3D taillights.
Interior Design

Linked to an 8-speed Sport Automatic Transmission, BMW TwinPower Turbo engines give the 5 Series its muscle. Base 530i models get a jolt, as the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine now delivers 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, both of which are significant increases. By switching to the 540i xDrive sedan, San Jose drivers get a power boost from the 375-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged 6-cylinder engine that delivers 384 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain increases by 40 horsepower. The 5 Series also offers an all-electric powertrain with the i5 sedan.
